What to expect from this year’s Denbigh & Flint Show

THE DENBIGH & Flint County Show makes a return in a few weeks, and here is what to expect from the event.

The annual show will be held at The Green, Denbigh on Thursday, 17 August.

The event, which dates back to the 1800s, will see vintage tractors, machinery and classic cars, a horticultural marquee, and a poultry and pigeon marquee where more than 200 classes will be judged, comprising of more than 700 birds.

A pigs section, light horse classes, show jumping (in three rings), a sheep section, a cattle marquee, and a heavy horses competition will also take place.

The Stannage Stunt Team will join this year’s show in the Main Ring, performing stunts such as motorbike jumps, fire runs, high falls, flaming high dives, quad stunts, and the exploding coffin.

The popular Shetland Pony Grand National will raise money for nominated charity, the Bob Champion Cancer Trust.

The show showcases animals and livestock, shopping and exhibition pavilion, equestrian events, craft exhibitors, a food hall, produce exhibitions, machinery and vehicle stands and much more.

Tickets for the event start at £15 for adults, £3.50 for children (5-16yrs), and £34 for families (two adults and two children).
